The Dispute

Pack burro racing is Colorado's Summer Heritage Sport involving long-distance foot races between teams of racers and burros over high alpine terrain. Burros are cautious by nature. When they see, hear or sense something unfamiliar, they hesitate (a behavior commonly viewed as being "stubborn”). It is up to the racer to figure out the problem and motivate the burro back into the race, a task that is often not so easy!
