This is a painting from a family trip we took in 2019 to celebrate my Dad's 60th birthday. I believe in places that I have been because I am able to paint not just from a photo reference, but from the feeling I had from being there. There was a calmness about watching the sunset along side my family, and the sun slowly dipped behind the horizon line and the waves gently lapped on the shore.
