This painting was done on location in South America. We approached a family while they were doing their laundry with water carried by pail up from the river. Rubbing their red shirt on the stones to clean it. We installed a double sink near this site. The water still is carried from the river, yet the sink can now hold clean water and wash water while keeping them seperate. Drinking water can also be used for cooking and laudry water can then be used for other purpose like gardening. This painting is in my private collection. I keep it in my laundry room to remind me how very blessed we are here in America.
