Painted during the Cedarburg (WI) Plein Air Competition, 2017 (2nd Place Award). I loved the church on the hill viewed from the dock in Port Washington, WI. and knew they had it lighted at night. Being Summer, I needed to wait until well after 9:00 pm to begin. Before I knew it, it was almost midnight! I crawled home, put the painting on the table, and not until the following morning was I able to really look at it. "Not bad" thought I!
