Peaceful Evening Glow

One evening, while we were out on a walk, this scene stopped me in my tracks. The way the sun shone through the trees and lit up the meadow was breathtaking! I studied the view as best I could and took a bunch of pictures, hoping to have gathered enough information for a studio painting. After a few months, I finally mustered the courage to take on what was a huge challenge for me. After working through compositional issues, the warms and cools, and getting the right angles in the shadows, I came up with a painting I am truly proud of.
