Breakfast

I am originally from Sunny South Africa and we drink a lot of hot tea. When I found this teal teapot at an estate sale I decided to set up a still life using it and other objects that remind me of home. I set it up on the floor in my studio with a warm light on it. Painted in oil on Belgium linen . My goal was to have broken brushstrokes, line and lots of layers.
