Painted on location for the 2020 Borrego Springs Plein Air Invitational. I was struck by the light that brilliantly warmed the drivers side of this old white pick up. I remember having to really get back up in there at this really sketchy property. It was pretty spooky. Luckily, everything went smooth and I was honored to win first place with this painting. The painting, above all, reminds me of the feeling of being sixteen again. This truck was almost identical to my very first.
