McIntosh Lake Sunset

Walking along the shore of McIntosh Lake in Colorado at sunset is always a stirring experience. Coming across a wonky tree coming out of the shoreline with the trunk partially reflecting and meeting its reflection immediately spoke "painting" to me. After painting a quick study in the studio from sketches and photos, the larger painting was thrilling to paint.
