Fig Tree and Strangler Vine

This silverpoint drawing depicts a weathered old fig tree resisting the embrace of a parasitic strangler vine. I began this drawing on-site on the campus of Mizoram University in Aizawl, India. The drawing took about four months to complete. It is rendered in Sterling silver on Plike film. The silver has begun to tarnish and will darker to a warm brown patina as it ages.
