Stillness by the Flume

A day spent at the Flume, Adirondacks, was filled with beautiful sounds and images. Having painted the St Regis Falls the previous day, during the Adirondacks Paint Out 2019, I was looking for a spot to observe the Flume from a distance. I found this place where I could still hear the roar of the Falls but was looking on a deeper side of the stream that made the water linger on quietly, swirling around the colorful ageless rocks, emphasizing the stillness one experiences when out in deep Nature.
