Down Comfort

It was early morning and I was walking the beach near the harbour on Lake Ontario not far from my home. It seems this fellow just wanted to keep his head tucked into his downy feathers and bask in the morning sunshine. He was not bothered in the least by my presence. His eyes were closed as I was able to do a quick sketch and I made a click sound to open his eyes as I took a reference photo. This was that very special intimate moment in nature. Just me and the majestic swans.
