Moose Family

Painting of three moose at the edge of a pond. The painting was done from several photo references I took when the moose appeared. I had been plein air painting at this small pond in Baxter Park in Maine. The moose appeared in the late afternoon. A number of people had stopped by the pond hoping to see moose, but only I and another visitor were lucky enough to see them. I have done plein air paintings of that pond a couple of times, but the moose don't wait to be pain ted.
