Storm Clouds Over Emerald Valley

As I started to paint a lovely peaceful morning scene of the Rocky Mountains, a heavy rainstorm formed, with one shaft of light illuminating an emerald green valley. I quickly changed the original picture to capture this new, more dramatic image. Seconds after I completed this, the storm hit me! Luckily, all my gear was protected under a small picnic roof. But blasts of horizontal rain soaked me instead.
