Crocus: Signs of Life

In March 2020, it seemed that all activity had come to a stop. It was cold and dreary and we were all advised to stay home and put our lives on hold. One morning I went outside to discover a single crocus with an almost blindingly colorful bloom. I hurried to set up my plein air materials. Magically, the sun came out to illuminate that miraculous flower, which became a symbol of hope and faith for me.
