Clematis

Every year, a Clematis bush blooms against a sunlit wall of my house. As the flowers develop, they change from pale blue to cobalt to deep purple, then to bright pink and dark alizarin crimson. I painted this bush on three consecutive afternoons, working to capture the quickly changing colors before they faded and fell away.
