Growing Together

Inspired by a couple, both whose families are friends of the family, were getting married. It is a scene of a tree by the creek near the house the bride grew up in (and not pictured here), with the light hitting it symbolic of an end of an old life and the beginning of a new one as the portrait "hidden" in it was from their engagement in the prior year. Hidden in the tree are a couple of eagle shapes, a book, a dog, many hearts, a cross, etc., symbols special to the couple. The bride likes sunflowers and native wildflowers, so they are included in the artwork. Many trips were taken to visit the tree and creek while "chasing the light" to study the effects of the lighting on the scene I was trying to merge.
