Low Tide, Arabian Sea

A 45 minute boat trip leaving from Mumbai, India takes you across the Arabian Sea to Elephanta Island. As I left the boat, I could see the fishermen cleaning the hulls of their boats at low tide. I knew this was a painting. I took the time to make a few on site compositional sketches with a ballpoint pen in my sketchbook. The painting was completed in my studio, in Pataskala, Ohio.
